They are switching offenses to the spread and I have no idea where the ball is going half the time. So, I’m going to shoot practice all this week in preperation for their Spring game in April. I will probably post more art from practices through out this week.

*week 8* This portrait is of Marshall Miller speaking during the “Female Orgasm” lecture held Thursday in the Grand Ballroom of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union. The light in the room was not great.  I think this is kind of a personality profile shot because Miller spends his life giving sex education lectures. This is about as ‘environmental’ as you can get for a lecturer. The details:I used a Canon EOS Digital Rebel.Shutter speed: 1/20 sec.F Stop: f/4.0Focal length: 200.0 mm

*week 8* I decided to try and shoot portraits this week. One set up and one at an event. This portrait, a shot of Matt Hopf, DEN city editor and computer lab monitor extraordinaire, was shot in my living room using a point and shoot. The only light source was from my over head light.  This shot turned out better than expected. I decided to use it in black and white because the brown apartment wood walls were ugly against the brown in his shirt.  Plus, I felt the black and white just fit the tone of the photo better. The details:Shot on a Canon Powershot A610Shutter speed: 1/60 sec.F-Stop: f/3.5Focal length: 17.3 mm

I was intending to take photos of the snow, but I ended up taking this photo of my friend Stephen outside under the light by Buzzard Hall. I like the how he one snowflake is very visible and how the texture of his hoodie is very obvious. I sort of like the effect the brown hoodie, brown wall and the light provide. It was shot at 1/25 sec. shutter speed. F-stop: f/4.0. Aperature: f/4.0. ISO:400.

It was difficult to find a good shot considering all of the lecturers stood in the shadow in the corner. I wish I had a wide angle lens in order to capture the screen and the speakers, but I did the best with what I had.
